Christine Haebler
Christine Haebler spent the first eleven years of her professional life in various production positions working on films such as The Navigator, Willow, Immediate Family, Jennifer 8, Intersection and Little Women. She moved into producing Canadian films and earned a Best Motion Picture Genie nomination for her first producing venture, Hard Core Logo. Gary Burns’s Kitchen Party, Tail Lights Fade, and Moving Malcolm round out her Canadian features, and most recently Peter Greenaway’s Nightwatching, which premiered at Venice in 2007.
Christine is currently in post-production on the feature Helen with the Germany’s Egoli-Tossell. Directed by Sandra Nettelbeck and starring Ashley Judd and Goran Vijnic – the film will premier in the fall of 2008.
She is also developing a diverse slate of projects: an adaptation of a UK novel entitled The Lepers Bell, written by Simon Barry, The Last Row – directed by Alejandro Agresti with the Kasander Film Co and a family drama starring Ashley Judd based on an award winning play entitled Wawatay (Northern Lights).
